Responsibilities

The Business Development Manager will be responsible to drive and support European Consulting sales across the European region; specifically:

  • Grow and increase market penetration of IDC’s consulting’s portfolio in general and within a defined set of core and growth accounts.
  • Support sales teams across the region and consultants to sell larger, renewable consulting contracts across the Plan, Market and Sell propositions and underlying consulting practice areas.
  • To work hand in hand with the AMs across your focus accounts to develop account strategies and broaden our stakeholder coverage across different lines of business to access new pockets of budget for IDC consulting services.
  • To drive early-stage client education and seed new business opportunities as a core focus of your role.
  • To be effective evangelists for the Consulting team both internally and externally. To excel at articulating the IDC European Consulting portfolio and value proposition.
  • Display strong business development fundamentals such as prospecting, needs assessment, proposal development, and client presentations to win new business.
  • Partner effectively with Consulting Leads to develop new and innovative solutions and identify areas of growth.
  • To support your direct manager with the rolling out of new consulting initiatives.

Qualifications

This role requires an experienced Business Developer, with a strong track record of success in selling research, advisory services or consulting services to large Enterprise organizations

  • Ambitious sales personality with high self-motivation, willingness to perform and learn
  • Completed degree (/ university) or comparable qualification in a customer / service-oriented profession
  • At least four years of experience in the sales of services in the consulting sector
  • Experience and interest in the IT industry are an advantage
  • Independent, goal-oriented work and, at the same time, close communication with colleagues
  • Ability in translating business objectives into solution frameworks and compelling proposals
  • Disciplined and self-motivated to develop and implement a sales plan
  • Good written and spoken English knowledge
  • Good handling of standard MS Office programs
  • Collaborative team player
