    IDC MEA is looking for a Conference Manager, based in Riyadh office (Saudi Arabia) to overlook all events/conferences in Saudi.

     

    Responsibilities

    The Conference Manager follows the overall strategic direction set by the Conference Director for the content related to his/her assigned events - and from that (in partnership with Research) develops the agenda and design for the conference. He/she manages all administration and logistics matters related to conferences within assigned area. He/she works with sales department to recruit the right speakers to the right sessions. The flow of the given conference is the responsibility of the assigned conference manager.

    • Manage all administration, budgets and logistics at IDC KSA events;
    • Propose new areas of conference delivery and custom events projects within the region of responsibility; 
    • Manage relationships with sponsors;
    • Supervise responsibilities such as: invitation process (e-mailing, faxing and direct mail), telephone follow-up, confirming registrations, keeping registration lists and provides reports on number and structure of registrants; attendee acquisition and follow-up, database and contact management, qualification of conference related information etc;
    • Manage pre-event processes (venue selection, co-ordination with hotels, sponsors/speaker co-ordination, preparation of badges, compiling attendee tote bags), and on-site activities for KSA events;
    • Manage all pre-event and post-event reporting as necessary and assigned;
    • Supervision of conference end-user and speaker’s database in Intranet and regular update and qualification of records;
    • Maintain responsibility of updating local events websites in Intranet;
    • Executes marketing plans for each event;
    • Travel to events as required and co-ordinates all aspects of on-site operation.

    Qualifications

    • 8-10 years Experience
    • Intermediate PC skills (OS MS Windows; MS Excel, Word and Lotus)
    • Previous event organization experience
    • Good written and language skills
    • Customer focus
    • Details oriented
    • Able to work under pressure.
    • Able and willing to learn and follow internal processes and guidelines
