  • Overview

    We are looking for an IDC Senior Research Analyst/Manager to be part of a team providing research-based advisory and consulting business services to Information Technology and Communication Providers and End Users.

    Responsibilities

    The IDC Senior Research Analyst’s primary responsibility will be to help construct consulting proposals, manage and deliver end results for strategic consulting projects and present either project results or research findings directly to customers or at IDC conferences and events in French. These activities may also involve primary (questionnaire design) and secondary research as well as analysis of survey results. Ability to communicate, simplify and synthetize complex messaging and ideas, strategic thought leadership, identify trends and anticipate industry movements.

     

    The IDC Analyst will also be responsible for coordinating and supporting some of IDC’s market forecast products. Other responsibilities include responding to client enquiries and providing support for sales and marketing. In this respect, the analyst will play an important role in interacting with clients to retain and expand existing business and with prospects to support development of new business. Interactions with press and media might also be required to comment on industry trends, PR advocacy preferred.

    The position calls for a highly motivated individual with exceptional problem solving, writing, presentation, and client interaction skills. 

    Qualifications

    The ideal candidate should have:

    • Over 10 years of experience in Field Survey Firms, IT Business consulting and/or Strategy Firms. 
    • Comprehensive understanding of current technology trends, their impact on business strategies and their implications for senior management in creating & sustaining competitive advantage and transforming business.
    • Proficient in Field survey design (Questionnaire design, phone or F2F interviews, statistical data processing, analysis and quantification…).
    • Knowledge about IT and Telecoms French Market and Industry: Makers, ISVs, Influencers, Business Drivers, etc.
    • Strong problem-solving, analytical and quantitative skills.
    • Can work independently and in a team.
    • Professional attitude and service orientation.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to deliver thought leadership documents
    • Direct Senior Management interlocution and CxO exposure.
    • Experience on managing multiple workloads and projects.
    • A Bachelor’s Degree is required and advanced study in IT or business is preferred.
    • Fluency in written and oral English is required. Some travel might be required as well.
