    IDC Middle East & Africa (MEA) seeks a motivated experienced Research Manager for End User Research to support the regional goals and business strategy in the Middle East and Africa region. Based in Cairo, Egypt, the Research Manager will manage and produce a wide range of End User research reports, and other assigned research work.


    • Support business development in preparation of proposal, which include the ideal sampling plan, research methodology, costing and timing
    • Able to coordinate and manage market research surveys with research suppliers in all the MEA region (call centers, research agencies, 3rd party services providers, etc.)
    • Oversee the entire process of market survey - negotiation with research suppliers, monitoring the process and task, quality control and reporting
    • Ability to design questionnaires that meet the research objectives and cater to the information areas required
    • Ability to deliver research tools based on the project objectives (final designed questionnaire, sampling techniques, conducting the fieldwork briefing for research suppliers, etc.)
    • Capable of working comfortably with SPSS on analysis of survey data
    • Keen to learn other research tools used at IDC for surveys and analysis
    • Prepare outputs of research results (banner tables, charts, etc.)
    • Support all consulting projects and teams in the region
    • Liaise with other colleagues in the End User Research group at IDC's regional HQ and other local IDC offices.


    ·       University Bachelor’s degree or higher

    ·       6-8 years of experience as a quantitative market researcher (consumer and B2B research). Previous experience in a market research company would be an asset.

    ·       Sound knowledge of the whole research process from commissioning to delivery of results

    ·       Good knowledge of SPSS and statistical methods is strongly preferred

    ·       Ability to manage research projects on time and in required quality

    ·       Relevant work experience in IT / Telecommunications research is an advantage

    ·       Excellent written and spoken English

    ·       Solid writing skills

    ·       Aptitude for business analysis and quantitative analysis

    ·       Ability to discuss and analyze issues

    ·       Ability to work independently and collaboratively

    ·       Proficiency with using MS Excel and other MS Office software packages
