    IDC is constantly expanding its global business in the Middle East & Africa region due to which we are looking for a senior business professional to join our team in Johannesburg, South Africa as a Senior Sales Manager for Events and Conferences.


    • Seeking out major clients and forming working relationships with the premier buyers in the ICT Industry. 
    • Overseeing and managing a small team of Sales/Account Managers, spanning across Sub-Sahara Africa, with the focus on South Africa.
    • Supporting annual sales planning process including account assignments, Quota-Setting, and sales territory monitoring. This also covers providing monthly reports covering account team performance and sales recognition activities
    • Accurately forecasting future sales and forming sales plans to adapt to constant shifts in the marketplace.
    • Forming sales strategies to keep the company competitive and innovative
    • Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by studying market trends and other market players.


    • This assignment will suit a senior experienced internationally-minded sales operations person, who will quickly become familiar with all aspects of IDC sales operations
    • Excellent verbal communication skills in order to deliver persuasive and effective presentations, sales pitches, networking, negotiations, internal communications and relationship management
    • Excellent written skills to effectively communicate the value proposition through proposals and presentations
    • Previous experience working as a sales Manager ideally for a similar organisation. Fast-learner, capable of grasping business complexities with a disposition to solve issues and drive optimization of processes
    • Natural leader with an ability to inspire performance with sales teams. Target driven with a proven sales ability. Must be a team player.
    • Strong commercial outlook and an entrepreneurial approach to business development.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and delivery of results to business plans.
    • High proficiency in spoken and written English language would be a strong a advantage
