    IDC Central Europe is looking for a Conference Manager with the right experience, talent and energy.


    The conference manager will be responsible for managing and delivering events on time, within budget, that meet (and hopefully exceed) expectations. The position will be responsible for the production of events from conception through to completion, providing leadership, motivation, direction and support to the rest of the team. This role will expect to lead the conception, scripting, coordination, production and editing of event content in conjunction with analysts. We are looking for a candidate who will be experienced project and event manager, with a keen eye for detail, quality management, production experience, time management and multiple team coordination.


    • Lead the conception, scripting, coordination, production and editing of event content
    • Work closely with internal clients, subject matter experts, and external customers on project organization and content development.
    • Be a brand ambassador and leverage IDC brand and consistencies in all events
    • Identify and recruit speakers and advisory board members - construct content for the recruitment messaging and promotional campaign
    • Partner with Internal IDC Creative & Marketing team, clients and other internal groups to create high quality content & presentation materials - Including event website & content for multimedia and social channels Identify marketing platforms and perform marketing activities such as conference postings and blogging to relevant social media streams e.g. Twitter, XING, LinkedIn among others and maintain quality assurance.
    • Maintain high quality of IDC events assigned and taking responsibility of the overall event activities assigned as logistics, speakers, partners and delegates
    • Manage Financials of assigned events in order to make the assigned event profitable
    • Engage continuously with customers and stakeholders plus generally support sales in terms of developing sales tools, presentations, value propositions, proposals, etc.
    • Establish a personal relationship with key delegates and potential delegates in order to build a secure network for IDCs conference and custom event business in Germany and Switzerland.
    • Develop and nurture strong relationships both outside and inside the company

    The ideal candidate is an autonomous and independent person who takes a project from initiation to execution with total ownership. The person is also knowledgeable, positive and energetic of nature, a relationship builder; and possesses the following characteristics:


    • Passionate, positive and enthusiastic with a dynamic, "business developer focused" mind-set. Constantly in design-mode in terms of new projects/initiatives and continuously interacting with the market
    • A team player who is exceptionally interpersonal skilled when it comes to building relationships and who understands how to engage with, manage, and motivate all the relevant stakeholders externally as well as internally
    • A proven track record of successful conference and event management and execution
    • A person with profound communications- and copy-writing skills - excellent ability to transform complex text into commercial, appealing and clear messages which work on all media platforms including social
    • Hold a business degree or equivalent
    • Fluent in German and English written and spoken and possesses good ICT skills
    • Willing to work and attend events outside standard working hours and travel 20-30 days a year
