    We are actively seeking a Research Analyst to join our team in Cairo. The successful candidate is required to have data analysis/market research experience and be a fluent English speaker.  A working knowledge of the IT sector is a plus.  The position for Research Analyst is open to candidates with 1-2 years postgraduate work experience. The main job role is to conduct and manage secondary research across the region to support standard products (trackers, spending guides), CIS, and consulting projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Update and maintain Vertical Spending Guide and Vertical Markets database.
    • Closely work with the various programs in IDC MEA region to conduct verticals research. The main activities include collecting data from the programs, consolidating and reviewing them, understanding the market trends, and updating the verticals database. 
    • Develop market understanding through primary and secondary research which includes activities such as monitoring and analyzing industry news and articles, interviewing of local and international firms, attending press and other public conferences, and attending vendor briefings.
    • Publish multiple vertical market reports annually as per standard IDC research practices.
    • Conduct and contribute to custom research and act as a shared resource for consulting projects.
    • Contribute to various research activities across the region with updated verticals data and analysis.
    • Support marketing activities through contributing to press releases, news articles, and social media posts.
    • Involve in public speaking engagements related to verticals research.

    Qualifications

    • Excellent analytical skills.

    • Understanding of market sizing, data modelling.

    • Familiarity with IT market developments and knowledge of technologies.

    • Business writing skills.

    • Expertise in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word software packages.

    • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.

    • Graduation/Post Graduation in IT/Business Administration

    • 1-2 years of work experience in IT, Research related jobs/companies
