    IDC is actively seeking an Event Producer to join our team in the Warsaw office. Reporting to the Country Manager, the successful candidate will develop and implement IDC’s conference strategy for Poland and Baltic States markets, reflecting planned results for the PL events business unit and the lead-generating nature of IDC events for our consulting business with technology buyers. The Event Producer will also work closely with IDC’s largest accounts to plan, execute and manage experimental, sponsorship and event-based strategies to support IDC’s clients’ go-to-market activities.

     

    Responsibilities

    • Hold overall responsibility for the successful achievement of sales, revenue and profit target for IDC PL&BA events with special attention on the customer’s long term satisfaction
    • Develop achievable annual plan for PL&BA events – based on feasibility assessment (taking into account competition, validity of proposed topics and viability for sponsorship opportunities and/or paid events format)
    • Create comprehensive events briefing including highlights of current issues facing the industry and how the events will address these issues, potential speakers and resource/partners (i.e., associations), proposed possible sponsors and how the event will contribute to IDC’s consulting services business development activities
    • Write conference agendas involving internal and external stakeholders to develop compelling and attractive program
    • Organize and run face-to-face meetings with CIOs, line-of-business leaders, senior heads of IT and ICT vendors, start-ups and other organizations to gain relevant insights for events
    • Develop, manage and implement marketing and project plan for each event and marketing strategy for all PL&BA events in cooperation with internal IDC marketing department
    • Manage and implement plan for establishing alliances for each conference with industry associations, government affiliations and others
    • Develop all copy for PL&BA events, including texts for marketing and sales support materials (proposals, SM posts, websites, invitations, campaigns, etc.)
    • Assure events are attended in the planned quantity and quality; pro-actively manage recruitment techniques in order to achieve the plan
    • Assist with pre-sales activities and/or direct sales where needed to maximize revenue and profit for each event
    • Create and manage budgets and maximize the return on investment

    Qualifications

    • University degree in business, marketing, communications or equivalent
    • 3-5 years of ICT market experience in events, marketing, sales or business development role
    • Track record of successful project management in organizing events and/or developing and implementing successful marketing strategies
    • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
    • Strong editing/copy writing skills (writing samples required)
    • Passion for new technologies, innovations, connecting people, and seeking new business opportunities, ability to understand ICT trends and convert them to the most resonating events
    • Computer literacy (MS Office suite, incl. PowerPoint) as well as social media literacy is a must
    • Strong project management and organizational skills
    • Demonstrable experience in design and execution of marketing, communications and public relations activities and campaigns (including digital marketing and social media)
    • Experience in managing multiple projects at once and to work against cost, timeline and quality standards
    • Ability to work independently in a matrix business environment

    • Excellent written and spoken EnglishEstablished network of contacts within the local business scene a strong plus
