About the position
We are looking for a talented energetic and results-driven eventsales professional to be responsible for growing our UK and Ireland event business. The successful individual will focus on selling IDC’s event sponsorships and custom events, establishing, sustaining and growing strong client relationships with ICT vendor accounts.
As a Senior Business Development Manager you will lead the sales strategy and activity for all UK conferences and custom events. You will be a key member of our successful sales team and will be responsible for achieving ambitious but realistic sales targets, working both independently as well as through the UK and European Account manager network.
The role requires a drive to develop relationships and new business opportunities with the IT Vendor community and an interest in IT trends impacting their business. The ideal candidate will be able to uncover customer needs and requirements and determine how clients can leverage the UK event portfolio to support their business and lead generation objectives.
