Consequently, IDC Europe is looking for a Senior Research Director to head up its market analysis and consulting work relating to the supply and use of AI software, services and solutions. The person we seek will lead IDC’s multidisciplinary European AI practice, and will drive thought-leadership around IDC's research into the AI industry in Europe, engaging with potential customers for our products and services, and contributing to global research initiatives. You will work with colleagues researching adjacent areas such as blockchain, quantum computing, enterprise applications and digital marketing.

The successful candidate will work with colleagues across the European research organization and globally, and will collaborate closely with Consulting and Sales groups to drive the success of the practice.
We are looking for a self-starter with good knowledge of software/AI technology and markets and of related consulting and IT services. This is a senior role, so we’re also looking for someone with a broad view of the software and services industry, with deep understanding of IT market business drivers and trends in Europe, and with a commitment to growing IDC’s client base.

The role will be based in one of IDC's European offices in London, Frankfurt, Munich or Copenhagen and will involve some travel, predominantly within the region. Remote working could be considered for exceptional candidates.
