  • Overview

    To meet IDC's growing demand for research and operational tools, IDC is expanding its global business in the Middle East & Africa region. The position will be located in Cairo, Egypt.


    • Conduct and manage consulting projects and engagements in IT markets in the Middle East and Africa;
    • Analyze business and market trends; provide clients with proposals and recommendations;
    • Work with quantitative market sizing and forecasting analytical tools as well as gather the support from research teams;
    • Manage multiple project deliveries;
    • Prepare thorough and well-organized reports and project summaries, writing of summaries & conclusions as well as proposals;
    • Play a significant role in business development by building and maintaining industry relationships;
    • Regularly meeting the client on site.



    • Business Strategy Consultant with minimum 7 years experience including at least 2.5 years with Gulf region
    • MBA strongly preferred
    • Excellent command of English and preferably Arabic language 
    • Excellent oral communication and power point skills
    • Experience in conducting and managing “client facing” consulting projects with strong experience in at least 3 out of the below 5 capabilities and atleast 2 out of the top 3 capabilities


      • Market Entry Strategy/ Growth Strategy projects
      • ROI/ TCO Calculators for Go to market/ Sales enablement services
      • Government National ICT plans and policies, PPP, skills, Digital literacy, Smart Cities
      • Telecommunication
      • IT Vendor markets


    • Experience of working with either IT Vendors, Government agencies, Telecommunication vendors, Management Consulting firms
    • Last 4 years experience should be in a client facing role
    • Manage multiple project deliveries at any point in time
    • Be completely flexible to travel for client engagements to any part of MEA as per project requirements

    Candidate has to be able to demonstrate:


    • Knowledge of IT/Telecoms markets in general or in detail;
    • Business oriented mindset;
    • Ability to discuss and analyze business issues;
    • Ability to work independently and collaboratively;
    • Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills;
    • Proficiency with Excel and other MS Office software packages.
