This is a software research role focusing in the areas big data. The sucecssful candidate is to perform duties related to market research in the above area and help to grow the business in Software in China.

The successful analyst should be able to present, write and able to conduct primary and secondary research to support our growth ambitions in the region.  This includes supporting any new research programs from a country viewpoint.


  • The successful candidate will have a hands on understanding of the drivers, outcomes and competitive environment for the ICT market, particularly for the successful transitioning from 2nd to 3rd platform technologies and has a strong knowledge of the ICT industry dynamics. An ability to develop strong analysis, insights and recommendations based on research and communicating information is essential.
  • Compilation and delivery of succinct and high quality of qualitative and quantitative reports on a regular basis
  • Active involvement with the consulting team on consulting projects for the China technology services market
  • Client–facing presentations, speaking engagements, telephone/ face-to-face consultations and attending vendor briefings
  • Visibility at IDC and industry events or media appearances
  • Support business development efforts to establish the client base by working closely with supporting analysts and sales team
  • The analyst will need to develop into an authority on the software industry
  • Speak English proficiently
  • Individuals with a minimum 5 years job experience in a market research firm, an IT consulting and integration firm, or within a vendor organization.
  • Minimum university or college degree, BA, BSc or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills absolutely essential
  • Strong interpersonal skills, experience of having worked in a multi-cultural environment will be a key advantage
  • Ability to develop, maintain and strengthen strong relationships with peers and external people such as customers
  • Excellent time management skills while at the same time able to effectively multi-task

  • Highly motivated individual able to work independently, setting work goals and priorities with minimal assistance
