The role is part of the Asia Pacific Quarterly Mobile Phones and Tablets Trackers. Based in Bangkok, the successful candidate will be a part of the ASEAN Devices Research team, reporting to the team lead based in Malaysia. The candidate will need to develop his/her understanding of the mobile phones and tablet industries along with other relevant industries.

  • Team-based Asia/Pacific Mobile Phone and Tablet Trackers deliverable production and quality control
    • Required to gather details about the market situation through primary and secondary research and translating it into quantitative data using Excel and various other tools.
    • Candidate will need to be able to come up with opinions and insights based on findings. Candidate should have an inquisitive mindset, able to think logically, have good time management and be attentive to details.
    • Write reports, articles or/and press releases occasionally and answer questions from journalists about the mobile phones and tablet markets
  • Develop an understanding of emerging technologies and their impact on the market
  • Client engagements - conduct presentations, discussions or/and meetings on a regular basis.
  • Support consulting projects as needed, including other Tracker support when needed



  • Strong written and verbal communication skills - Thai and English are the minimum requirements. Mandarin, while not compulsory would be an added advantage.
  • High comfort with Excel and other databases with experience in monitoring and manipulating large data sets for quality assurance purposes (familiarity of data visualization techniques is a plus)
  • Analytical, critical and inquisitive mindset in order to ask the right questions and make sense of the situation
  • Good Emotional Quotient in order to lead and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • An understanding of technology and economic concepts
  • Can work both independently and as a team, is able to multi-task and is able to adapt to rapidly changing workloads.
  • 2-3 years of full time job experience, preferably in data analysis or IT channels/distribution
  • A personal interest in hardware, telecom or information technology are a plus
