About the position

IDC is looking for an analyst with significant experience in enterprise networks to help drive the continued development and success of its EMEA Enterprise Networks and Life-Cycle Services program.

 

Based in the UK, the role will have three key aspects:

(1) shape and create content for the Enterprise Networks stream in this program;

(2) deliver consulting projects and speaking engagements;

(3) ensure that IDC continues to be a thought leader in this space.

This role will require a deep understanding of enterprise networking and how it is transforming, product segmentations across the different markets covered, and opportunities in relation to key market developments.

 

The successful candidate will have excellent customer relationship skills and will be eager to contribute to the continuing expansion of our client base and business across the region.

Responsibilities

  • The candidate will shape and deliver industry and technology research for our existing syndicated product – both qualitative and data focused, also as part of an EMEA team. She/he will do this by interacting with the market, as well as desk research from varied publicly available sources. The analyst will be asked to present in webinars, to clients or at IDC events.
  • She/he will also lead and/or support specific consulting projects, based on IDC data and analysis.
  • The candidate is also expected to build strong a strong presence and relationships with vendors active in this market, understanding key business and technology issues they face.

Qualifications

We are looking for a self-motivated person who can work independently, while working in a cooperative environment with other team members, both in Europe and as part of our global research groups.

 

The successful candidate will ideally have at least a Bachelor's degree in business management, international business, information technology, economics or science, and a minimum of 8 years of industry experience. He/she will possess excellent analytical and communication skills and be eager to support and directly contribute to IDC's portfolio and business.

  • Marketing minded and Social Media fluency
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English, additional European languages a plus

Based in London, the role may involve some foreign travel, primarily in Europe or in the U.S.

 

The role will report to the head of IDC's enterprise group in the EMEA Telecoms and Networking team.
