IDC Financial Insights is seeking an energetic Research Manager for its new Corporate Banking research program. The manager will lead IDC research in the areas of corporate banking including global transaction banking, treasury, payments and commercial lending. This is a relatively public role with many client-facing and industry-facing responsibilities.


The individual is required to deliver compelling research projects, manage customer interactions, and proactively grow the program through successful engagement with all client types - technology vendors and technology buyers -  that make up the corporate banking ecosystem.

The Research Manager is responsible for the success of the practice and is heavily involved in consulting and custom research.  Additional responsibilities include managing the research agenda, writing research reports, helping with marketing activities to raise industry visibility, conducting business development, providing sales support, and acting effectively as a client advisor.


The desired individual has at least 3-5 years of experience in working in market research and/or consulting in financial services and preferably in the corporate banking sector. Work experience in the sector or within an ICT company dealing with corporate banking is highly valued. Experiences in blockchain, cognitive computing, data analytics, security, DevOps, API development and management are a clear advantage. Additionally, the following skills and attributes are desired:

Fluency in written and oral English is a must. Fluency in a second or third European language would be advantageous. The role will involve travel, predominately in Europe but also to other regions. Preferable job location will be London (U.K.) and Frankfurt (Germany).
